FAQs
Do you accept health insurance?
I do not accept insurance at this time. However, if you receive Out-of-network (OON) benefits from your insurance coverage, I can offer a receipt with appropriate details for you to request reimbursement from your insurance carrier if applicable. Please call your insurance and ask the following:
Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health visits?
If so, what is my out-of-network deductible, and has it been met?
How much will I be reimbursed for therapy sessions?
What are your rates?
The current rate is $200-$325 per session, limited sliding scale slots are available for those that qualify.
How often will we have sessions?
Therapy is only effective when there is consistency, I recommend starting once a week.
What is your cancelation policy?
There is no charge for cancellations made at least 48 hours before the session. Cancellations made fewer than 48 hours beforehand may be charged the full fee.
How should I prepare for my first session with you?
Feel free to prepare what you want to talk about, or you can just bring yourself in, and we can figure it out together. Generally, the first session is an opportunity for you to identify the goals you want for therapy which will provide a framework for our sessions going forward.
How can you tell if I am benefiting from therapy?
Healing can look different for many people. You might notice yourself reflecting upon the work we do in your day-to-day life. You might notice changes in your thoughts or actions that no longer serve you. Sometimes, you might notice yourself responding or reacting differently in situations that previously triggered you in different ways than they impact you now. It could be feeling more compassion or flexibility for yourself and others.
Is there ever a time when you would encourage me to leave or graduate from therapy?
I would encourage you to leave therapy when the goals you’ve set have been met, and you feel more confident in navigating your challenges. In my experience, an indicator of this is when a client comes in and only has positive things to report, or they report a conflict or difficulty and follow up with how they efficiently handled it. When that happens consistently, I may discuss the possibility of termination, and we will explore that together.
